Aspiring Art Prize - Gala Night & Exhibition Opening

The aim of Aspiring Art Prize is to foster and encourage artists living and working in the South Island of New Zealand. The winning prize of $5000 is proudly sponsored by Craigs Investment Partners. In addition there are a number of merit prizes sponsored by the local community.This year there will also be a $2000.00 prize for the best landscape artist. All the artworks are available for sale on the Gala Night and during the exhibition period.
The Gala night will be held at the Holy Family School,Aubrey Road, Wanaka on Tuesday, 10 January, 2012 at 6pm. Judges, Bing Dawe and Alexandra Kennedy will announce the winners on the night. For the 2012 prize the organisers have decided that in order to encourage landscape artists a prize of $2000.00 will be awarded.

LANDSCAPE ARTIST $2,000.00
PEOPLES PRIZE $1,000.00
PRIZE FOR BEST WORK UNDER ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS $1,000.00
All the artworks are available for sale on the Gala Night and during the exhibition period: 11-14 January, 2012, 10am-4pm.
Tickets are available for $25 and $20 for artists . Food and drinks will be provided.
All proceeds raised will go to the Holy Family School, Wanaka.
