Launch of the Anniversary Booklet. This souvenir booklet gives an overview of the discovery and the aftermath of the gold strike in the Cromwell Gorge during the winter of 1862. There is more information about Horatio Hartley and Christopher Reilly who found the gold and started the Dunstan Rush. An easy to read account of the gold rush plus information about gold, methods of mining, and photographs.
