1955. In the well-kempt Takapuna garden lovingly tended by the literary father of the nation, Frank Sargeson, the vegetables are nearly ready and his old mate Harry is due for another stay any day soon.
But behind Frank's famous macrocarpa hedge a mysterious world is being shaped by an enigmatic new voice – Janet Frame has come to stay. Frank’s world is about to change.
A funny, clever and often very moving literary love triangle based on the book Gifted by Patrick Evans.
