"Mountain Moods"- Contemporary Landscapes

Clare Riddington Jones is an Australian born artist who has been painting for over 20 years. She started her art journey in Noosa Heads, Queensland Australia where she primarily studied watercolours. Clare soon discovered Acrylics, and fell in love with the versatility of the medium. 

Clare then studied art at various courses at the NSW Art Institute in Sydney, and during that time sold many artworks in art shows on the Sunshine Coast. 

For five months every  year, Clare spends time in her other residence in Queenstown, New Zealand. She is a member of the Queenstown Art Society and enjoys being an active part of the group. Clare is inspired by the wonderful Alpine vista, and her extensive garden which is a creative source for her floral artworks. 

Clare also works in oils, and  won first prize in a Sunshine Coast Art competition in that medium.

Clare’s art is diverse and expressive; she uses a wide range of techniques that swing from contemporary art to still life, to wildlife images and floral portraits.

Exhibition Opening night is Friday 20th February at 5.30pm
