UB40’S Red Red Wine Vineyard Tour with special guests Herbs and Jason Kerrison takes place at Waitiri Creek on Friday 15th January 2016 and gates will open at 4.30pm.

The original line-up of UB40 with Ali, Astro and Mickey enjoyed huge success over a period of 30 years from 1979 to 2008, with #1 albums, multiple gold and platinum selling albums, Grammy nominations, 4 worldwide #1 hits and over 70 million in sales. Now reunited again, they continue to take their smooth yet rootsy blend around the world and their live performances never fail to uplift the audience.

UB40’s chart hits include Red Red Wine, Cherry Oh Baby, Kingston Town, (I Can’t Help) Falling In Love With You, I Got You Babe, One in Ten, Rat in Mi Kitchen, If It Happens Again, Homely Girl…and the list goes on!

Jason Kerrison is best known as the frontman for one of our most successful pop/rock acts, Opshop. Their platinum selling albums produced hits such as Love Will Always Win, One Day and Maybe. Jason not only enjoyed commercial success, but also picked up numerous NZ Music Awards, the prestigious APRA Silver Scroll and in 2011 received the NZ Order of Merit for services to music in the Queen’s Birthday Honours.

New Zealand Hall of Fame inductees, Herbs go back an incredibly long way with UB40, right to the beginning in fact, having supported them on their first visit to New Zealand thirty-five years ago. In 1983, at the famous Sweetwaters Festival, they reconnected once again and UB40 christened the Herbs sound as Pacific reggae.
