WoolOn is the gala event of the Alexandra Blossom Festival-a celebration of creativity and design that is held over two nights October. 

New Zealand and international designers compete for the supreme award presented at a gala fashion and entertainment showcase that celebrates wool as a fashion fabric. The Dunstan High school gymnasium is transformed into top class venue where guests are entertained and enthralled with exciting designs in a variety of classes. From felted accessories to glamorous gowns, models parade the examples of designers whose flair and passion for fashion are one of the highlights of the Festival.

The first of the two nights is general admission with tickets selling at $30 the first night is the judges chance to view the creations on the catwalk in all their glory. Friday evenings show is the awards night with all the glamour and anticipation associated with any awards ceremony. Guests are seated at tables and enjoy a glass of Two Paddocks pinot and sumptuous food prepared by Orchard Gardens catering while being enthralled and entertained by the high standard of designs on show. Following the fashion show and award ceremony guests are invited to party on with entertainment from Lipstick a trio of young women who entertain with a variety show of current and popular music.
