What's happening in Central Otago

NEARY PLANE RAHMAN TRIO

UK based Alice Neary (cello), Robert Plane (clarinet) & Sophia Rahman (piano) are coming to NZ as part of the adjudication panel for the Pettman/ Royal Over-Seas League Arts Scholarship competition to be held at the University of Waikato later this month.  While in NZ they are giving 7 concerts throughout the country and thanks to a recommendation by Chamber Music NZ, Cromwell is one of the selected venues.

These accomplished musicians have amazing bio’s and reviews of their performances are littered with words such as “eloquent, impassioned, radiant and incisive”.

Their concert will feature three works by Schumann prior to the interval with the 2nd part of the programme highlighting one of Beethoven’s most popular and successful works arranged specifically for cello, clarinet & piano.

Neary Plane Rahman Trio (2hrs incl interval) perform at the Cromwell Memorial Hall on Fri 18th November at 7.30pm. Tickets: Adults $25; Supergold $20; Student/child $5; are on sale at the Cromwell iSite. Door sales will also be available. All proceeds will be donated to Cromwell St John.
