Learn how to use the dials and icons and take photos using different settings.

Workshop 1/ Know Your Camera

Saturday 3 March 9.00am - 12.00pm ORWednesday 7 March 9.00am - 12.00pm

Get to know your camera demystifies the icons, dials and settings on cameras andlets you take control of your camera. Please bring your digital camera, cables, empty cameracard and fully charged batteries. A laptop would be useful for viewing results.

Learning Outcomes: By the end of this course participants will be able to:

Practice using dials and icons and know what they do

Take photos using different settings on the camera.

Saturday 3 March 1.00 - 4.00pm OR Wednesday 7 March 1.00 - 4.00pm

Tips & Techniques for Taking BetterPhotos Tips and techniques to allow you to take more striking and effective photos. Please bring your digital camera, cables, empty camera card and fully charged batteries. A laptop would be useful for viewing results.

Learning Outcomes: By the end of this course participants will be able to:

Use appropriate settings

Effectively compose photos  

Take better photos

Tutor: Shaun Burdon: Shaun is an experienced and knowledgeable teacher who formerly lectured in painting for the Otago Polytechnic School of Art BFA programme in Dunedin. Shaun has extensive image editing and digital manipulation skills.
