Learn about early Chinese mining and celebrate the Chinese culture. Activities will include:
Saturday March 31 A special evening event featuring a lecture by Dr James Ng and the screening of the film ‘Illustrious Energy’. Chinese drinks and nibbles will be served.
Sunday 1 April Bus tour departing at 11am to Ophir, Moa Creek Cemetery and other historic sites. Commentary by Jeff Sawyers.
Friday 13 April 12.30pm Lunchtime lecture by Malcolm Macpherson: ‘Opening Doors in China - Sister City Experiences’.
Sunday 15 April Bus tour to Northburn gold diggings and the Cromwell cemetery. Commentary by Bob Kilgour.
