The Central Otago Regional Choir & Regional Orchestra - FEEL THE SPIRIT
Location: Terrace Primary Hall, Alexandra and Lake Wanaka Centre, Wanaka

The Central Otago Regional Choir, accompanied by the Central Otago Regional Orchestra, hosts the FIRST New Zealand performance of FEEL THE SPIRIT, a cycle of seven greatly loved American spirituals arranged by John Rutter. Singing in styles from Big Band and Blues to Calypso, the choir will be joined for this exciting performance by renowned soprano Heather Macdonald.
Accompanied by Suzanne Russell (piano), with Maria Affleck (solo violin), the choir will also perform the exquisite FIVE HEBREW LOVE SONGS composed by Eric Whitacre and to complement the jazz-flavoured settings of the spirituals the concert will open with well - known popular standard songs accompanied by Alison Frude (piano). Dunstan High School's choir Dunstanza will also feature in the programme.
Performances at the Terrace Primary Hall on Sat 5th May at 7.00pm
Lake Wanaka Centre on Sun 6th May at 2.30pm.
