This year to celebrate conservation week we will entertain you with a film festival. This film festival has a distinctive rural flavour that will take you on a journey to the Wairarapa, Methven and our local 'Maniototo', showing award winning film 'Gone Curling'. These films have been produced by Otago filmmakers for a Masters in Science Communication.
Gone Curling
In the deep south of New Zealand - Central Otago is the last place in the world that still up-holds the traditions of outdoor curling. At its heart is Naseby, a town of character and community, bound together by their love of curling.
River Dog
The story of one mans struggle to save the river he lives by.In the remote New Zealand countryside the underbelly of a farming community continues to pollute the water and destroy the last remaining natural values of the Pahaoa River. Yet, not all is lost. One farmer and his team of dogs challenge the status quo, battling against all odds to keep the river clean
Plough!
A ground breaking film about the 57th World Ploughing Championships.Competitors from 30 nations will literally turn the earth upside down in hopes of winning the Golden Plough.
