Creative Watercolour

A weekend workshop designed to introduce students to texture in their paintings. 
We will use watercolour paper, fibered paper, granulation medium, inks, etc. to create under paintings.  Negative painting will develop the work further.  Results are always varied and interesting.  

This workshop is technique based and is suitable for all abilities.  Students will work at their own pace with lots of help, encouragement and assistance.  

Demonstrations and discussion will include: 

materials composition and design colour mixing technique transparent layering wet into wet negative painting applying fibre and textured papers etc....

Materials required:

300gsm Arches or Saunders cold press paper your usual water colours, brushes, pens, pencils, etc notebook or practice paper glad wrap and wax paper Winsor & Newton granulation medium

note: Indian ink, textured papers, adhesives etc. will be available for sale on the day.
