My Moments Exhibition

From June 3rd Matthew Hawke will be displaying a combination of photography and poetry as the Boatshed Cafe in Frankton. Please come along to see some unusual ways of printing, thoughtful poetry, and if your lucky have a chat with the Artist himself.

Matthew Hawke is a former corporate lad from a far too busy town up north. He went from that  to having nothing, including his health.  This dramatic shift makes a man face into himself. Matthew did this and has now built a new more creative and kind life. He is now a writer with three books (two co-written with his wife Niki) under his belt, and has shown his photography at the Auckland Festival of Photography, as well as winning a national award. To support his creative spirit and provide a more real environment for the kids, he moved with his family to Queenstown three years ago. Here he enjoys showing tourists around the beautiful landscapes of Otago while continuing to work on his creative endeavours. This is his first exhibition in Queenstown, and he feels the time is right to tell his story.
