Arts on the Rail Trail 2016
- Telephone 022 4626328
Location: Cafes, hotels and galleries between Clyde and Middlemarch
Region: Central Otago
Dates: Mon, 1 February 2016 - Sat, 30 April 2016 @ 10am - 4pm
'Arts on the Rail Trail 2016' is a free event and open to the public. It showcases the work of talented Central Otago artists all along the Otago Central Rail Trail. Venues such as cafes, bars and galleries from Clyde to Middlemarch have Central Otago artists exhibiting their art work as part of the 12 week long group exhibition.
Being peak season for the Rail Trail, it is anticipated that this event will add to the experience of the Rail Trail rider. We also hope people other than cyclists will enjoy seeing the work of our talented artists on display - all of which is for sale. The event offers an opportunity for the participating artists to raise their profiles and the chance to show and sell their work to a wider audience.
The Otago Central Rail Trail enjoys a large number of visitors participating on this classic ride. The Rail Trail is well known as being high on visitors’ “must do” list. This project presents an opportunity for greater appreciation, participation and discussion between the public and the artists involved. Click here to download the brochure.
