What's happening in Central Otago
Korowai weaving workshop
Location: The Whare, Dunstan High School,
Korowai is the art of weaving Maori cloaks using a combination of feathers, wool, cottons and other materials. It is a skill that is being lost due to the lack of experienced weavers available to pass on these techniques to the younger generation.
A Korowai course will be held in Alexandra 12-14 February 2016.
Tutor: Robin Hill from Dunedin (Robin runs classes every month at Dunedin Museum.)
Times are as follows:
Friday 12 February 7-9 pm
Saturday 13 February 9.00 am – 3.30 pm
Sunday 14 February 9.00 am – 3.30 pm

Cost: $15 includes your starter kit
