'You Know Where It Is'
A line remembered from a poem by Janet Frame ' there is a place, you know where it is ....' inspired the 6 paintings in this show.
In a world where often everything is immediate and slick Gail offers measured, multilayered surfaces evoking evolution, history and memory.
These dense landscapes pay homage to Inland Otago.
