Ace '22 a Success [Sun, 1 May 2022]
The inaugural ACE '22 Exhibition happened over the Easter break in Cromwell. Ace '22 was initiated by Arts Central, born from a desire showcase the works of established artists as well as to encourage participation by local artists who wouldn't normally show their work. New categories such as jewellery, wood making and textiles were included in the exhibition criteria - broadening the usual interpretation of creative art.
Exhibition organiser Victoria Dawes said, 'It was a great privilege to be able to work and learn from so many members of Cromwell’s creative community throughout the process of organising the ACE ’22 exhibition. I was especially delighted to work with multiple artists that have never exhibited their work before'.
Congratulations to the Award Winners: OCTA Gallery Award - Howard Krieg for his comic illustrations. Best in Show - Jo Ryan for her hand-woven wool scarves. Highly Commended - Andrew Bride, Aimee Bunnage and Grace Naylor.
It is positive to see new initiatives such as the ACE '22 be successful and we look forward to Ace '23 next year.
