Jen Olson is a figurative artist from Cromwell. She draws and paints our heartfelt and awkward exchanges, and the fragile connections that make us human.

Her latest exhibition “Our Bodies Are Our Gardens” is a reflection on fate, and whether we’re the gardener in charge. Are we slaves to our nature or to a higher power? Or are we independent and truly free to choose our path? How would we know?

Iago liked to sow the seeds of doubt and paranoia in others, manipulating weak-willed people who let their emotions control their choices.

Is fate just Iago, toying with us? Or perhaps we sow the seeds of our imperfect spirits, cultivating the truth of our own experience.
